Local Missions

Our congregation actively supports missions in their giving. In fact a large percentage of our annual budget goes toward mission support. We donate to many national and international missions but the missions listed below are local missions that we support with a monthly donation. Additionally we frequently donate to specific needs that arise in our community.

Bartlett House

Bartlett House is a nonprofit organization which serves the needs of the homeless in Monongalia County and surrounding areas.

Christian Help's mission is to prevent homelessness by helping people find jobs while providing for them materially and spiritually.

Morgantown Community Kitchen

GBC supports this local program at Trinity Episcopal Church that has been providing meals to the needy in our area for many years.

MonCounty Habitat for Humanity

 Monongalia County Habitat for Humanity, through volunteers and donations, has been working for years to provide housing to the impoverished and homeless. Their ReStore store accepts donations of reusable home materials to resell with the proceeds supporting Habitat for Humanity.

Morgantown Area Meals on Wheels

Goshen Baptist Church supports the local Meals on Wheels organization. Additionally, as one of three distribution centers in Morgantown, volunteers from the congregation deliver hot meals to those who need them within a 10-mile radius of our chuch.

Chestnut Mountain Ranch

Chestnut Mountain Ranch (CMR) provides a Christ-centered boys school and home geared to help them develop spiritually,  intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. They also staff a non-profit Quick Lube shop and a non-profit Community Store.
